Oui, oui mon ami. You are not the first to ask to see the inside of our toy room. The only problem is since we have moved to Germany, we don't have a toy room...yet.

But we will be at Eurobike, I am building the booth myself for ifbikes.de, and we will have all of our bikes there, if not in our booth, in other companies stands. That will be a good time to show our rides. I was thinking of inviting other IF owners to share their rides at the show as well, sort of a theme...

It is a beautiful bike...but i owuld not expect any less from the two of you: Styled bikes seem to be the norm. I am just looking for the post that runs through all your bikes in the household.

I am curious to see if you have changed your mind on the 29er.

no, just soul searching. while I see the benefits of a 29er, I still prefer a 26ers quicker handling, snappier ride and faster acceleration. with that said, the smoother ride, more comfort and better stability make a 29er a great second or third bike choice than say a full suspension, for me anyways.

it is just interesting to see who else is playing with it, especially here in europe where magazine and the public at large don't give it (29ers) any merit.

Thanks, yeah we wold have liked to been at Garda as well. We are still wrestling with how serious do we want to take racing, we are both kinda of like, well - not too serious and just have fun with it. It takes a lot of time and energy to be up front, and we really just want to ride (& race) for the fun of it.

CB does not have a 'European' distribution (yet). If you have an APO or know someone who does, that is the best way. there is a guy in Switzerland selling them as well, but not authorized. Do a google on Clif Bar Europe and his site will pop up on the search results.

Nice race report and great job to both of you. You did far, far better than I did in Garda. We saw some of the Ami coningent down there hawking bikes and parts.

Question... where in Europe outside of the UK can I buy Clif bars?

Have a good trip.

Pah-LEEZE, KB?! That picture of me was of disbelief as to why I hadn't bought a 2-9er 10 years ago. I am not here to debate the pros and cons of 26 vs 650b vs 29 but as a validated user of 26'ers and 29'ers, there is absolutely no reason for me to go back to 26. I am 6'2" as you know KB and can accelerate the bike and its 'big wheels' like a BMX bike and the geometry of the frame I had built lends itself to nice/tight precise steering. So, this is an absolutely sold user.

As to the 650b's, in all sincerity, there may be a GREAT need for this...but I'd seriously say it will be a product choice for folks who are trapped between being too short for 29'ers but tall enough to rock something bigger than a 26 to gain some of the benefits of bigger wheels. I dunno. There is no need for me but if there can be a product injected into bike shops line ups to help sell some of the benefits to customers who could appreciate it, then I say the industry should go for it.
